407 Eriogonum umbellatum modocense 12X12 5 This population with silvery blue felty foliage. Pale yellow flowers fade to dark red and maroon. A very striking buckwheat. This is the species that ‘Alturas Red’ was selected from. We think it is even better. Probably very xeric once established. CA WN DR TNT

258 Eriogonum umbellatum ‘Lake Tahoe’ 5X115 4 A nice variety with excellent foliage, small round tomentose leaves of a nice gray green. It forms dome shaped mounds topped with clear yellow flowers on short stems in very early spring. Very reliable for us and highly recommended. We first got this at a NARGS conference in Denver and believe it to be a form of E. umbellatum humistratum. CA WN DR TNT
259 Eriogonum umbellatum ‘Whiskey Peak’ 12X24 5 Dense mounds of green leaves backed in white. Erect stems of sulphur yellow that fade to red. Blooms at a different time that Alturas Red, so you should really grow both. It is impossible to have too many Eriogonums. When we offer this, it is from garden grown seed, so a certain amount of variation is expected. CA WN DR TNT
230 Eriogonum umbellatum “Alturas Red” 12X20 5 Possibly the best of the mid-sized Eriogonum. This one forms doming mounds of round grey leaves, backed in white. Erect stems of pale yellow pom-poms fade to a vivid rusty red. Superb selection by Siskiyou Rare Plants Nursery, said to be E. umbellatum modocense. We have established plants that get no water at all in summer. CA WN DR TNT
919 Eriogonum umbellatum argus 3X18 Shrubby spreading mats of pale green leaves topped with bright yellow poms that age to orange, copper or maroon. From the Siskiyou Mtns. A new form for us that we have not trialed yet. CA WN DR

916 Eriogonum umbellatum minus 0X0 An incredible Eriogonum. Mats of small felt covered leaves in shades of silver or olive. Buds of dark maroon open to pale yellow flowers that then fade to form prostrate spheres of deep maroon. A favorite for creeping over the edges of rocks in the dry native garden. CA WN DR TNT
