We started propagating plants in a desperate attempt to find more plants that would be appropriate for dry Sierra Foothill gardens. We have had many failures but also many successes.
The main purpose of this website is to share our experience with you. Our Plant Database contains information on many of the plants we have succeeded with. Look for the code TNT throughout the database to indicate plants that are "Tried and True" in the Sierra Foothills. These are plants that have proven easy or reliable in gardens known to us.
For 2010 we will not be shipping plants, but will continue to offer a small selection of plants to local gardeners. For a current listing of plants we are offering, visit our Plants Instock.
We have a new and growing obsession with cold hardy cacti and are offering many varieties for sale. For a listing of current cold hardy cacti and succulents visit Cacti and Succulents In Stock.
How to Order
Our plants are only available by order. We are not open to the public for retail browsing.
To order, Email us a list of plants you are interested in ordering. You must include the following info:
* Your name, address, phone number and email
* Plant ID#, plant name, quantity
* Date that you would like your order ready for pick up, or shipping
* Whether you will be paying by mailing or check, or over the Internet via Paypal
We will contact you to verify plant availability, payment due, and to arrange pick up.
Please note that many of our plants are in very limited supply. Order early in the season to insure that the plants you want are available.
And again, we are sorry, but for 2010 we will not be shipping plants. We will only be able to offer plants to local gardeners or those who can arrange pickup here.
Propagating On-Demand
There are many more plants in our gardens than we can possibly propagate every year. Demand for our plants is increasing as our time for propagating is decreasing. If you want to insure that we will have a particular plant for you next planting season, you can ask us to propagate it for you. How does this work? You pay a non-refundable deposit of $20. We guarantee that we will attempt to propagate the plant for next season. If we don't succeed in propagation, your money is returned. If we do, your deposit goes towards that price of the plant. Minimum order $20. Contact us for details.
